Job summary
The Felician Sisters of North America in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide resident-focused, quality care for aging Franciscan sisters. This casual-unscheduled RN position covers the day shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in a convent home environment.
You will administer medications, support Nursing Aides, monitor resident comfort, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with a compassionate health services team to uphold a warm, respectful atmosphere for the sisters.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where the convent home is located.
- Current license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to elder Franciscan sisters.
- Oversee Nurse Aides to ensure high-quality care and support for residents.
- Distribute medications, maintain narcotic records, and perform charting duties.
- Collaborate across departments to maintain a warm, caring convent environment and meaningful interactions with residents.
