Schervier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in the Bronx is actively seeking compassionate Registered Nurse (RN)s to join our team. We are looking to fill day, evening, and night shifts. We are a well-run 364 bed skilled nursing facility located in the Bronx, near the Hudson River.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in New York is required.
• One year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations.
• Obtain changes in physician’s orders as indicated by resident’s progress.
• Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing.
• Maintain clean, orderly treatment cart and restock treatment supplies.
• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies.
• Document pressure sore status weekly or as condition changes.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of medications and supplies to ensure adequate stock.
• Participate in educational programs for residents and families relative to skin care at discharge.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities and other duties as assigned.
