Job summary

Majestic Care of New Haven is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to render skilled nursing services on our unit and supervise CNAs under nursing management. This role supports medical care and ensures high-quality resident care.

You will assess residents, administer medications, follow physicians’ orders, and participate in orientation and in-service training. Active RN license in Indiana and CPR certification are preferred or required as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of employment (Indiana).
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Implement physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments per rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within the Nursing Practice Act scope.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapies or procedures by other departments.
• Institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
