Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. in California seeks compassionate individuals to provide respite care for children, teens, and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities in their homes.

You will ensure safety, provide companionship, and help maintain engaging daily activities for clients while their families take a break. The role offers flexible scheduling, local assignments, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth in the field.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current negative TB test.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual preferred.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and provide companionship to individuals with disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting).
• Engage in age-appropriate activities and routines at home.
• Build positive relationships with the client and their family.
