Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. is seeking kind, reliable individuals to join as Respite Care Providers in California. You will support families caring for children, teens and adults on the Autism spectrum and related developmental disabilities at the client’s home, providing safety, companionship, and engaging activities.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, local client placement, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth within the organization. Starting pay is $19.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License or State-Issued ID
• Valid auto insurance coverage
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (Infants, Children, and Adults)
• Current negative TB test
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual preferred)
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability.
• Assist with daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting) and routines.
• Engage client in age-appropriate activities and build positive relationships with family.
