Job summary

Eagle Crest Communities’ Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI is seeking a Driver to transport residents safely to appointments and activities. A valid license and a caring, professional demeanor are required.

You will assist residents, maintain vehicle safety, and communicate with staff. The position is onsite with a competitive wage and full benefits; CPR/First Aid is preferred and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and background check required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Familiar with local routes and GPS navigation.
• Ability to assist residents safely with mobility aids.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with scheduling.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and other destinations.
• Assist residents in entering/exiting the vehicle for safety and comfort.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks; report issues.
• Follow traffic laws and drive safely at all times.
• Communicate transportation schedules with staff and residents.
• Provide compassionate, respectful interaction during transport.
• Record trips, mileage, fuel use, and incidents accurately.
• Assist with loading/unloading mobility aids like wheelchairs.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or changes during transport.
• Attend safety trainings and meetings as required.
