Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a dedicated Driver to transport residents to outings, appointments, and activities in community vehicles. You will ensure safety, assist residents getting in and out of vehicles, and help with mobility devices as needed.

The role emphasizes time management, dependability, and compassionate interaction with residents, under the Life Enrichment Director. CDL or Chauffeurs license may be preferred, and prior senior transportation experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL or Chauffeurs license preferred.
• Experience driving large vehicles; ability to operate community bus.
• Experience transporting seniors in wheelchairs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to residents in the community bus or other vehicles for outings, appointments, and scheduled activities.
• Ensure the community vehicles are clean, well cared for, and safe; inspect and manage routine maintenance.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using wheelchair lifts or stairs.
• Assist residents with items and mobility devices; help load/unload walkers and wheelchairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.
