Job summary

Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents, staff, and visitors. The role requires a high school diploma or GED or two years of healthcare experience, and the ability to read, write, and speak English.

You will follow recipes, manage cooking schedules, maintain hygiene standards, and support the Food Service Director. Schedule flexibility including weekends and holidays is expected to meet residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents, employees and visitors.
• Follow recipes and plans cooking schedules to meet mealtime; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Direct other food service staff in absence of Food Service Director.
• Handle and prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Meet required meal schedules and minimize food waste.
• Communicate with the Food Service Director and cooperate with staff.
