Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to provide daily living assistance to residents at our Hockessin community. You will support activities, meals, and mobility, while maintaining a caring, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include documenting resident status, responding to calls, and assisting with activity programs. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days is required, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete approved Personal Care Aide program per state regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and assist residents safely.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly.
• Document resident status and changes in writing.
• Assist in planning activity programs and escort residents to meals.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain uniform and name badge during shifts.
• Support move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
