Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate to deliver timely care to residents and support daily living activities. The role emphasizes accurate communication, adherence to care plans, and compassionate supervision of health-related tasks in a skilled living environment.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, documentation, reporting changes, and participating in programming and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a nursing assistant or completed certified home health aide/homemaker training.
• Experience with elder care, ADLs, and safety priorities is expected.
• Ability to document clearly and follow care plans and physician directions.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing supervision of residents’ health related activities and seeks medical attention when needed.
• Recognizes and prevents elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Assists with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, grooming, mobility, dining).
• Participates in evaluations and service plan reviews.
• Removes and launders linens; returns items properly.
• Serves residents food and assists with feeding as allowed.
• Maintains shift reports by oral or written log.
• Documents and reports resident status and changes in condition.
• Checks residents daily for cleanliness and continence issues.
• Assists with safety assessments and emergency responses.
• Mentors new Resident Care Associates and participates in special projects.
