Job summary

Viva Senior Living at Chesapeake is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide direct care to residents and support continuity of care. You will report changes in residents' conditions to the Resident Care Director and assist with daily living activities and mobility as needed.

The role requires reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, and adherence to all facility policies, safety and infection-control standards. Compassion and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies.
• Must maintain compassion and dignity toward residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and report changes to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves and transports using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident and visitor requests within policy.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures and maintain skin integrity.
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information.
