Job summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide direct, compassionate care to residents and support daily living in a homelike setting.

You will follow individualized care plans, report changes promptly to the Resident Care Director, assist with transfers, uphold residents’ rights and dignity, and work closely with teammates to ensure safety and quality of care.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to read, write and understand English.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must maintain the highest standards in caring and servicing residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and contribute to continuity of care by reporting changes to the Resident Care Director
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and other personnel promptly and courteously
• Follow individualized care plans and support residents according to their needs and preferences
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors to promote a homelike environment
• Uphold residents' rights and report any abuse or violations promptly
• Perform safety and infection control procedures and assist with activities of daily living
• Arrive on time and perform other related duties as required
