Job summary

Prestige Senior Living - Rosemont in Yelm, WA seeks a compassionate caregiver to provide direct resident care and support with activities of daily living, while maintaining a respectful and safe environment.

You will participate in care planning, document observations, and assist with meals, mobility, and safety procedures within a supportive team. A competency evaluation and required training are included as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment.
• State required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR and HIV training if not able to provide documentation of prior training.
• Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence and choice, and reports changes to Health Services Director or Executive Director.
• Assists with ADL’s, takes vital signs and documents care services and observations.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Performs First Aid and initiates emergency procedures when required.
• Greets residents, visitors, and staff and answers phones when assigned.
• Supports infection control practices and reports unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Serves meals, assists with dining and kitchen cleanup.
• Assists with tours, move-ins/outs, transfers and coordinates personal care with lifting assistance.
• Attends training, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
