Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living in WA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide care, support, and companionship to residents. You will assist with ADLs, help with personal care, meal preparation, mobility, safety, and documentation, while following company policies and state regulations.

You will work with nurses and staff, participate in ongoing training and meetings, promote respect and dignity, handle crisis situations calmly, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for our residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, especially in senior care.
• Completion of required caregiver training and certifications where applicable.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a focus on seniors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist with resident mobility.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• Current First Aid and CPR card.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises as needed.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in activities to support emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe living environment.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies and hazards.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team about well-being.
• Document care provided and changes in resident condition.
• Treat residents with respect, dignity and empathy.
• Participate in ongoing training and required meetings.
• Collaborate with caregivers, nurses, and staff to ensure cohesive care.
• Handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
