Job summary

Grace Management, Inc. is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to residents in a senior living setting. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and preserving residents' independence while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor health changes, document services, and participate in emergency responses. A state-approved certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Certification by state approved program, if required.
• Satisfactory completion of the Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness department associates as needed.
• Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating and ambulation.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ physical condition and cognitive/emotional status to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Coordinates internal transportation needs and escorts residents as needed.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and reports to supervisor.
