Job summary

Northwell is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant to deliver direct nursing care under supervision. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and report observations to the registered nurse to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will assist with meals, mobility, hygiene, and prepare residents for admissions, transfers and emergencies. This role requires NYS Nurse Aide Certification, completion of a CNA program, at least one year of related experience,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program; Certified by the New York State Department of Health.
• Minimum of one year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care under direct supervision to assigned residents.
• Provides hygienic care and assists with activities of daily living.
• Reports observations and unusual conditions to registered nurse.
• Prepares unit, rooms and beds for admissions, transfers and emergencies.
• Provides care to assure residents' physical/mental comfort.
• Takes vital signs and reports abnormal values.
• Performs decubitus care and skin care measures.
• Transports residents per policies.
• Assists in admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Prepares residents for meals and assists with feeding.
• Provides observation for residents requiring increased security.
• Collects specimens and transports them.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment, replenishes supplies.
• Performs related duties as required.
