Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in New York is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate resident care and support under licensed personnel. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and high-quality daily care in a long-term care setting.

You will perform essential nursing tasks, monitor residents, assist with ADLs, take measurements and vital signs, and help with transfers while documenting care.

Qualifications

• NYS CNA certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Minimum one year long-term care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports residents' status changes and needs.
• Assists residents with ADLs and daily care activities.
• Obtains weights and vital signs and reports results.
• Transfers and repositions residents every 2–3 hours.
• Maintains unit neat, relaxed and homelike.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
