Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York is actively seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care to residents in a respectful and dignified manner. You will support daily living activities, escort residents to meals and activities, and help maintain residents’ physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being.

Full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week; CNA or HHA background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing of residents.
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.
