Job summary

SANANTONIOWEST in is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with care plans and supervisor directions. The role involves identifying residents, recording observations, reporting changes, safeguarding resident information, and supporting daily activities and mobility.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with tests and transfers, and following established policies to ensure resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a 10th grade education.
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws; CPR preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before treatments using wristband/photo ID.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and report disclosures.
• Assist residents with daily care activities and mobility.
• Prepare residents for medical tests and examinations.
• Assist with transferring residents between rooms and to/from vehicles.
• Follow policies and procedures and work assignments.
• Observe for pressure ulcers and report findings.
• Ensure rooms are prepared for new admissions and residents are greeted.
• Support rest of nursing staff and participate in nursing reports.
