Job summary

AlmaVia of San Francisco is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant/Caregiver to provide compassionate, person-centered care for older adults in memory care and assisted living.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents’ wellbeing, document care using electronic charting, and collaborate with a caring team to create a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications include 18+, prior long-term care experience preferred, basic computer skills, and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• 6 months+ in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience with seniors or current CNA preferred.
• Knowledge of aging and dementia care.
• Proficiency with computers and typing for electronic systems.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Current First Aid Training and Certifications (CA requirements).
• Background check and pre-employment screenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and services to residents with dementia.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toilet needs).
• Provide meal and activity escort assistance and mobility support.
• Document care using the electronic charting system.
• Communicate with residents about their needs and preferences.
• Maintain clean, orderly resident living areas and assist with supplies.
