Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group is seeking a Removal Technician in Amarillo, Texas. You will care for the deceased with respect and transport remains to the mortuary or funeral home, while adhering to all licensing and company policies.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months of experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will maintain logs, PPE, and vehicle cleanliness as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Minimum of six months’ work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of computers and willingness to learn is a plus.
• Above average communication skills are expected.
• High level of compassion and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Care for deceased in a respectful manner.
• Adhere to all licensing and authority regulations.
• Maintain a log of all deceased in care and those transferred.
• Promote a safe work environment through universal precautions.
• Perform removals from hospital, nursing home or residence to mortuary or funeral home.
• May perform removals from prep rooms or embalming facilities.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Ensure adequate PPE is available in removal vehicles.
