Job summary

Shaffer Mortuary Services - MS in Amarillo, TX is seeking a part-time Removal Technician to care for and transport deceased with dignity, following all state, local and company policies.

You will perform removals from hospitals, nursing homes or residences, keep vehicle clean, maintain PPE supplies, and log transfers while upholding safety, compassion and teamwork in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum six months of work experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Knowledge of computers or willingness to learn.
• Strong compassion and integrity.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Detail oriented and professional team player.

Responsibilities

• Care for deceased with respect and dignity.
• Assist removals from hospital, nursing home or residence to mortuary.
• Transport remains to funeral home and related facilities.
• Maintain removal vehicle cleanliness inside and out.
• Keep PPE supplies stocked in removal vehicles.
• Log deceased in care and transfers accurately.
• Adhere to licensing, safety regulations and universal precautions.
