Job summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a Registered Medication Aide in the Nursing department. You will administer medications per physician orders, accurately record administration, and monitor residents for responses and safety.

This role requires attention to detail and compassionate care for residents. Candidates must have certification as a Resident Care Associate per Pennsylvania regulations and maintain ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must have completed coursework and examinations to obtain certification as a Resident Care Associate per state regulations.
• Must maintain certification by completing required continued education as per state regulations.
• Must possess knowledge of state medication technique.

Responsibilities

• Administers and records administration of medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Observes and reports symptoms or conditions related to medications to the Resident Care Director.
• Determines and records effectiveness of medications and promotes resident rights during administration.
• Stores medications safely and in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Monitors medications for accountability across shifts and with changes in shift.
