Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Salem, Missouri, seeks a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time day shift (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm). You will administer medications, conduct nursing assessments, and support residential treatment programs to promote client wellbeing.

The role emphasizes advocacy, compassionate care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with nursing leadership to maintain safe, therapeutic environments.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nurse program.
• Successful background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
• Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to clients via oral and injection, per service line requirements.
• Perform nursing assessments, including physical and mental health evaluations.
• Document medication administration and nursing assessments according to service line standards.
• Conduct medication administration reviews and monitor house stock of medications.
• Communicate with clients about medication inquiries and manage refill requests.
• Verify client data and medical history, and obtain necessary physical prerequisites.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner, including safety plans and nursing assessments.
• Act as a resource for nursing and medical issues while overseeing client hygiene and related health concerns.
• Participate in necessary meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
