Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Patient Transporter to assist with moving patients and other items on the MUSC campus, reporting to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director. This is a regular, hourly position within Radiology with 36 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; 0–6 months healthcare experience (6 months preferred). BLS is required within 2 weeks of hire and must be maintained.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED (or completion of a recognized allied health course).
• 0–6 months of work experience; six months patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained afterward.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation of patients and other items within the MUSC campus.
• Report to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director; coordinate with imaging staff to move patients safely.
