Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Wheaton, MD seeks a Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing radiation therapy under the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Collaborates with the physicist, dosimetrist, chief therapist, and Radiation Oncologist in planning and simulation of treatments.

The role requires ARRT certification, Maryland licensure, and at least one year of experience is preferred. Comprehensive benefits and a day shift are offered at this location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program completed.
• MD state licensure to practice radiation therapy is required.
• ARRT certification and at least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation according to physician prescription and adjust as needed.
• Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients with empathy and sensitivity.
• Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.
• Prepare room and equipment per treatment parameters.
