Aston Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. Whether you’re an experienced PTA or just starting out, we welcome candidates who bring empathy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

You will support residents through rehabilitation journeys and help promote mobility and independence. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver patient care, assist with mobility and gait

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents.
• Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activities.
• Experience is a plus—but not required.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plans.
• Encourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activities.
