Job summary

Diamond Care Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, administering exercises, observing progress, educating patients and families, maintaining records, and collaborating with RNs, PTs, OTs,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent education and experience.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring effective, individualized care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities for patients in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings.
• Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and techniques to promote continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members—including RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients.
