Job summary

Generations Healthcare English Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Modesto, CA seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team on a full-time, part-time, or per diem basis. The PTA assists in providing quality patient care under licensed therapists and supports treatment plans.

Responsibilities include implementing plans, communicating with patients and families, documenting visits, and maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum.
• Unencumbered practice allowed.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and other payor sources.
• Full knowledge of residents' rights.
• Exudes professionalism in presentation.
• Able to multitask across responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes patient treatment plans under supervision of a therapist.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and team members.
• Provides timely written documentation per facility requirements.
• Develops and enhances clinical and professional skills through knowledge and associations.
• Communicates treatment variations to patients and staff.
• Documents as required by insurers to meet regulatory and treatment plans.
• Supports department operations and development.
• Reports changes in patient status to supervising therapist promptly.
