Job summary

Aspire Senior Living Roaring River seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide skilled rehabilitative services to help residents improve strength, balance, mobility and independence, with a focus on safety and person-centered care.

You will implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, educate residents and caregivers, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required.
• Current Missouri state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• CPR certification required; BLS preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy preferred.
• New graduate PTAs may be considered based on community needs.
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility techniques, and rehab principles.
• Ability to implement treatment plans and communicate changes to supervising PT.
• Experience with electronic medical records and therapy documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized PT treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises to improve strength and mobility.
• Monitor progress and report changes to supervising PT.
• Assist with gait training and use of assistive devices.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
• Document treatment sessions and outcomes accurately.
