River Bend Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville, NC is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehab team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help residents improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence through therapeutic exercises and gait training.

Ideal candidates provide compassionate care, strong clinical skills, and clear communication, with experience in long-term care. CPR certification is required or obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA licensure/certification.
• CPR certification required or must obtain upon hire.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks.
• Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, and overall physical endurance.
• Monitor and document residents' treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with the supervising PT regarding residents' status, changes, and potential adjustments to care plans.
• Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety measures.
• Adhere to facility policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements, including documentation and infection control.
