Bridgeway Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Team. The PTA will provide services under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and help implement treatment plans to support patient progress, independence, and daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Physical Therapist.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents to determine need for intervention.
• Identify indications for evaluations and assist in the evaluation under the PT.
• Assist in establishing and modifying resident treatment plans with the PT.
• Conduct individual and group therapy including strength, mobility, gait, balance, ROM, and modalities.
• Assist in selecting techniques/media and sequence of activities with guidance from PT.
• Monitor residents’ response to intervention and consult PT for modifications.
• Assist in scheduling in collaboration with PT and team members.
• Adhere to schedule and modify treatment as appropriate.
• Train residents, family and staff in equipment use.
• Participate in resident, family and staff education.
• Ensure documentation meets CMS requirements in EMR.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance activities as required.
