Job summary

Brookhaven Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed physical therapists in delivering individual and group treatments to residents, aiming to improve independence and function.

The role requires graduates from an accredited PTA program and state licensure as applicable. Full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules are available with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Licensed as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
