Job summary

Cascades at Orchard Park in Orem, UT is seeking an RN for PRN day shifts. This facility cares for geriatric residents needing long-term and rehabilitation care, with a supportive team and room to grow as a nurse.

The role requires Utah RN licensure, strong communication and organizational skills, and willingness to learn regulatory requirements for long-term care; expect on-call shifts with at least one per month.

Qualifications

Must possess a current Utah RN license in good standing.
Effective communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations regarding long-term care.

Responsibilities

Ordering medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
Preparing and administering treatments/medications as ordered by the physician.
Notify the resident's physician and/or family members when there is a change in resident's condition.
Administer professional nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
Continuous observation and monitoring of seriously ill residents.
Being the patient advocate and ensuring that other health care team members are providing care according to the resident's care plan and personal wishes.
Accurately completing necessary charting as required and in a timely manner.
