Cogir Senior Living is seeking a reliable Prep Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare ingredients, maintain cleanliness, and ensure meals meet community standards in a warm, resident-focused kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation is required.
• Experience as prep cook/line cook is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is expected.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with basic cooking tasks.
• Wash, chop, measure, and portion ingredients for daily meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all prep areas.
• Label, store, and date foods to minimize waste.
• Assist with dishwashing or other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Support the culinary team during meal service and events.
• Communicate respectfully with residents and staff.
• Contribute to a positive, safe kitchen culture.
