Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to support the kitchen at a long-term care facility. You will assist in meal preparation, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and follow standardized recipes to serve residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and餐 knowledge of food safety. You will work with a team, follow safety guidelines, and may handle inventory and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is desired.
• Must complete an approved sanitation and safety course (ServSafe).
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are preferred.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meal preparation and maintains a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Preparing ingredients and cooking meals per standardized recipes.
• Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service demands.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
