Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Charles Hospital seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled therapeutic interventions and educate patients and families.

You will document progress in the electronic health record and support a continuum of care for outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations. Under supervision, you will monitor treatment responses, maintain records, and support a productive, compassionate clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred at hire and required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist and monitors response to treatment.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress.
• Maintains productivity while ensuring quality of care.
• Precepts in the direction and evaluation of Assistant clinical experience / internship of students from participating colleges, universities, or schools.
• Observes and reports patients’ responses to treatment and progress to the Physical Therapist.
