Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for St. Charles Hospital. The role provides skilled therapeutic interventions and documents patient progress in the EHR, serving outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and other sites as part of the care continuum.

Major duties include applying age-appropriate treatments under supervision, maintaining records, ensuring productivity, and mentoring students. Licensing in current practice state and BLS compliance are required or pursued within

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support required within 30 days for some facilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment and patient progress.
• Maintains productivity without sacrificing quality.
• Precepts in the direction and evaluation of student clinicians.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and timekeeping policies.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the Physical Therapist.
