Job summary

West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rhode Island seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate residents, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, and implement therapies that restore function and mobility.

In this role you will work with a compassionate interdisciplinary team to reduce pain, improve walking and daily living activities, and educate patients and families on home care and safety in a long‑term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PT program.
• Current PT license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year PT experience in a care setting.
• Federal-, State- and GHR-required credentials current and on file.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Review physician's referral and patient records to determine required PT treatment.
• Test and measure strength, motor development, sensory perception, and functional capacity to guide treatment plans.
• Prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation data and patient goals.
• Instruct and assist patients in exercises and use of devices to maximize mobility.
