Bon Secours Mercy Health in Chesapeake is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) for In Motion Physical Therapy, Chesapeake Square. The PT will perform initial and ongoing assessments and deliver skilled therapies across outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics, and off-site locations.

Requirements include licensure in the state of practice, BLS preferred and within 30 days for certain facilities, and at least two years of experience. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and teamwork across care teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred).
• Demonstrates age-specific standards, policies and procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathers information, and develops a treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy daily following the plan of care and current practice standards.
• Maintains accurate and concise records of care and progress in the EMR.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality and safety.
• Supervises the physical therapist assistant’s interventions and growth.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and attendance policies.
