Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy technician to collect specimens and support testing procedures in the Solid Organ Transplant Clinic. You will ensure correct patient identification, label specimens accurately, and input data into hospital systems while maintaining safety and courtesy with patients.

• Knowledge of general phlebotomy equipment.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.

• Uses correct technique, policy, and protocol in collection and process of all specimens; verifies patient and specimen ID.
• Inputs and assesses information via hospital/lab systems; reviews lists and logs; guides patients on collection.
• Follows safety procedures; uses PPE; preserves patient safety during collection.
• Processes specimens including sorting, aliquoting, labeling, and transport prep.
• Restocks supplies; maintains clean work area; monitors expirations; supports unit goals.
• Communicates with patients and guests professionally; handles calls and requests.
• Performs registrations and orders tests; handles preauthorizations; completes clerical duties and reports.
• Performs POC testing if assigned and notifies caregivers of critical values.
• Instructs new employees and students; documents training progress.
• Completes required competencies and CE training on schedule.
