Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Gonzales. The role involves blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, data entry, and processing of billing information.

You will travel to additional sites as needed and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinical setting. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
