Job summary

Bon Secours in Greenville, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory Department. You will draw blood, prepare specimens for testing, and handle clerical tasks to keep the lab running smoothly.

Responsibilities include patient safety through correct ID, order entry, result lookup, and prompt problem resolution, with travel to off-site locations as needed. High school diploma required; certification preferred but not required; 1 year phlebotomy experience and customer service experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner.
• Collects all specimens according to established procedures and ensures proper processing.
• Identifies patients accurately and matches identity with the correct service for safety.
• Performs data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and preparation for test orders.
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks, stocking supplies, and answering phones as needed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
