Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Center Phlebotomist to perform specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service in a hospital-affiliated setting in Massachusetts.

You will be the face of the BILH Laboratories, handling patient data entry, specimen preparation, and coordination with the Phlebotomy Supervisor. The role requires high school or GED, optional associate’s coursework, strong communication, and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree welcomed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate and update patient demographics and lab orders in the computer system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Perform administrative duties to open/close the PSC daily.
• Assist in training and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists and travel to other centers as needed.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures and QA programs.
