You will work in a hospital setting, with a day shift on the part-time schedule, perform according to safety standards, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and lab staff to deliver timely, high-quality patient care.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successfully completed an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• A minimum of one year of previous phlebotomy experience is required.
• Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with a healthcare team.

Responsabilidades

• Collecting blood and other laboratory specimens from inpatient and outpatient populations using established phlebotomy techniques.
• Accurately identifying, labeling, processing, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Ensuring all specimens are handled according to laboratory standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Providing compassionate, professional patient interactions while helping patients feel comfortable during specimen collection.
• Verifying patient identification and following procedures to promote patient safety and accurate testing.
• Maintaining documentation and timely transport of specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
• Collaborating with nurses, physicians, laboratory staff, and others to support efficient patient care.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following infection prevention practices.
