Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for West Hospital on a PRN basis. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens, and completing clerical duties to keep the lab running efficiently.

You will enter orders, look up results, and answer internal and external calls in a friendly, helpful manner. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, phlebotomy experience is preferred, and customer service in a retail or service environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing.
• Enter orders, look up results, and generate reports in a timely manner.
• Provide courteous service and assist callers and patients as needed.
• Handle clerical duties and maintain inventory and supplies.
• Troubleshoot problems promptly and support department operations.
• Adhere to safety and patient identification procedures.
