Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and obtain informed consent.
• Label, process, and transport specimens with chain-of-custody documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper biohazard/sharp disposal.
• Enter patient data into EHR with high accuracy and collaborate with the team.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and equipment calibration.
• Adhere to HIPAA, safety policies, and OSHA requirements.
