Responsibilities

• Obtains and prepares specimens and performs tests as directed.
• Performs venous, capillary, puncture and micro-sticks with proper technique.
• Visits patient bedsides to collect specimens and reassure anxious patients.
• Transports specimens and test requests to the labs per policy.
• Maintains records, equipment and a clean, safe environment.
