Qualifications

• 0–2 years phlebotomy experience or entry-level welcome.
• Ability to collect blood samples accurately and safely.

• Strong communication skills with patients, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection per policies to ensure timely specimens.
• Ensure positive patient identification by using two identifiers and bedside labeling.
• Prepare, package, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns for a positive experience.
• Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment and workspace under safety standards.
• Document patient and specimen information accurately in the lab system.
• Collect timed specimens as ordered and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to resolve collection challenges.
