Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of NAACLS approved phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomist certification with ASCP or AMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens and collects nonblood specimens for testing.
• Verifies patient identity and ensures specimen labeling integrity.
• Performs venipunctures and finger sticks using aseptic technique.
• Assists in training students and new staff in collection procedures.
